Bio

Ece Nisan Düzgün (b. 1996, Istanbul) is a painter whose work merges bold mark-making, text, and art-historical references with the raw energy of graffiti.

Reimagining icons such as Ivan the Terrible and His Son, Adam and Eve, and the Virgin Mary, she layers humor, critique, and personal symbolism into her canvases.

Her practice explores authority, intimacy, and memory through surfaces that are at once sacred and mischievous, confessional and defiant.
